Masaaki Noda was born in Fukuyama, Hiroshima, Japan in1949.
International award-winner Masaaki Noda is a prolific artist whose work embodies a unique vitality, energetic symmetry, and spirited determination. After having established himself in Japan, he is now considered one of New York City's rising stars--and shows no sign of slowing down his vigorous momentum.

Noda demonstrates his keen mastery of various medium by creating serigraphs, watercolor paintings, paper collages, and charcoal sketches. Although his application of color can vary from bold and pure to soft and diffused, all of his art is a celebration of fluidity in movement. Drawing upon subtle archetypal symbolism on both conscious and subconscious levels, Noda searches out new possibilities of expression as he reaches to embrace the future.

Masaaki Noda was educated at the Osaka University of Arts in Japan, and at The Art Student's League of New York where he was an Elizabeth Carstairs Scholarship recipient.
